OFF Radio Krakow has made a radical decision: it has replaced all its human journalists with AI-generated presenters. Announced on October 23, 2024, this move has sparked intense debate about the future of journalism and whether artificial intelligence can truly replace human reporters.

The station is running an experiment to see if AI can engage listeners by hosting shows, discussing cultural topics, and even conducting interviews. Can AI keep audiences as interested as human journalists? That’s the question at the center of this bold shift.

Not everyone supports this change. Former journalist Mateusz Demski strongly criticized the decision, arguing that journalism requires human intuition, emotions, and ethical judgment—things AI lacks.
